Dripping with Green // Garden Decking Spotlight Sydney
We’re half-way through our Sydney winter! So we thought it would be the perfect time to start daydreaming about Spring!
The effects of adding a little bit of greenery to your living space have been proven to reduce stress and boost mental wellbeing. That’s why we wanted to take the chance to walk you through a couple of our favourite botanical-inspired projects!
The Botanical Burcham Communal Garden
We were honoured to work with Allen Jack+Cottier on the revitalisation of a former Wrigley’s warehouse building into the sustainable Burcham Apartments. The Wrigley’s Commons was our working space, and our decking team helped in the creation of the communal garden’s relaxing area.
Using Spotted Gum timber, we were able to create multi-use asymmetrical benches that doubled as geometric plant-beds for the thriving flora. The botanical garden is stationed in the communal outdoor area, based in the centre of the complex.
The timber seating formations work beautifully to create a harmonious urban space with the greenery of the surrounding foliage. The naturals tones are exemplified by the contrasting elements.

We are proud to have been a part of this beautiful project, as the architecture firm’s distinctive design for the new Burcham Apartments in Crewe Place has won several awards including the Sustainability Awards 2018 and Best Interior Architecture 2018.
Natural Contrast
This lush garden wall creates the perfect natural contrast to the lightly silvered Rosewood deck that our team installed. The thriving abundant vertical garden helps transform the backyard into a contemporary escape. Our team lined the pool-deck and alfresco area with timber and created a multi-use privacy screen and bench top, fitted with lighting to create a dramatic effect for evening use. It has become the perfect location for a sundowner!
Beautiful Rosewood
The Rosewood timber used here is the ideal choice for decking around pools and wet areas. Most pools get plenty of sunlight so the deck will silver consistently and evenly.
